Tell us more about your company or organization! For those getting to know you for the first time, share what you absolutely want them to know in 2-3 sentences.

Lunch Break freely provides food, clothing, housing, life skills, and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond. We strive to break the cycle of poverty for those we serve and guide our community members in need of self-sufficiency and healthier, more productive lifestyles.

What are the top reasons you joined TechUnited? How can you help other members, and how can other members help you?

In my prior career with a large consulting company the firm was a member of TechUnited and found the networking, thought leadership, and events to be value-added and a worthwhile investment. As Lunch Break is a non-profit organization, helping Lunch Break provides a direct benefit to those in need. Lunch Break in turn can help organizations that are focused on having a culture of giving back through a variety of different ways to help, from monetary donations to food and clothing drives, etc.

What new technology are you excited about? And how do you stay innovative in your role?

Lunch Break strives to be a leader in ESG amongst non-profits, thus we stay focused on innovative technologies that are environmentally friendly and provide cost savings. We are undergoing a major expansion and are very excited to have plans to install 6 electric vehicle chargers, providing the capability to handle what will eventually be an all-electric vehicle fleet. We are also replacing disposable plastic food containers with reusable plastic food containers that have a life of 3 – 4 years, thus saving both the environment and funds that can be utilized for our programs.

What is that one piece of advice you would share with other entrepreneurship enthusiasts in the community?

Envision what you want your organization to look like in 5 and 10 years and work backward to plan accordingly.

What’s your go-to conversation starter or #1 fun fact about your company or career?

Lunch Break was very fortunate to have Jon Stewart host our annual gala in 2020 and 2021!

What’s your favorite Jersey bite or go-to restaurant?
