Meet Julian Rodriguez, a twice venture capital-backed founder working on Momento, a new direct-to-fan social media mobile app that takes celebrity and influencer content and turns it into NFTs in an instant. Julian worked with Vitalik Buterin in 2013 on Bitcoin Magazine and was an early Ethereum advisor as well as one of the first Bitcoin ASIC miners on earth. Julian is a lifetime member of the Bitcoin Foundation and sits on two non for profit boards that focus on the urban tech pipeline in the South Bronx.

What motivated you to start your company or organization and how do you differentiate yourself from the competition?
We believe the creator economy is evolving and a new model was needed. Our content discovery style, ease of use on both sides, and creator-focused model all work together to offer a world-class experience for fans and creators.
What new technology are you excited about? And how do you stay innovative in your role?
We’re pretty excited about MetaTope, a cool real-time metaverse avatar solution that works on mobile and is markerless. It’s important to go to industry events and see what else is going on.
What’s your go-to conversation starter or #1 fun fact about your company or career?
I worked with Vitalik Buterin back in 2013 on Bitcoin Magazine where I was responsible for the physical distribution of the magazine in and around the NYC area.
